The Colorado Springs Train Station was originally known as the Old Santa Fe Route Depot.

The old picture at the bottom right was published in the 1890’s and shows a Colorado Transfer Company stagecoach, elegant carriages, surreys, and delivery wagons waiting around the depot yard for passengers and freight from the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe train.
